Microneedling
Collagen induction therapy is a procedure that uses small needles to gently prick the skin, provoking regeneration and renewal. The treatment is used to improve skin texture by generating new collagen and skin tissue for smoother, firmer, more toned skin.
Microneedling is a facial rejuvenation treatment. Microneedling involves the use of a device, such as a dermaroller, that has a series of tiny needles that penetrate the top layers of the skin. The procedure is almost pain-free because the needles are very short. The needles ostensibly puncture the skin’s epidermis layer.
The minor skin damage causes rejuvenation by catalyzing the skin’s own natural healing response and rebuilding the skin by encouraging the production of new collagen and elastin.
This gives the skin a smoother texture and reduces fine lines and wrinkles. Microneedling may also be used to create “micro-channels” for deeper absorption of topical skin care products. Microneedling is mostly used on the face to treat texture, hyperpigmentation, scars, wrinkles, and large pores.
Collagen Induction Therapy can be used to treat the following:

FAQ
The procedure is not painful, as the treatment itself only causes minor damage to the skin and we use cream to numb the area. You should only feel a slight pressure with no pain.
Because Microneedling involves very short needles that penetrate only the very superficial layers of skin, recovery time is short. You may see some redness for about 24 hours after the procedure, but this redness will quickly fade in a day or two. The procedure can be performed fairly frequently, depending on your skin’s condition and innate ability to heal.
You will begin to notice initial rejuvenating benefits of Microneedling after the first or second treatment, whilst more intensely regenerating result may take 2-3 treatments every 6 weeks.
The appearance of your skin will continue to improve over the next 6 to 12 months after treatment with a proper skin care regimen. For deeper acne scarring or more intense hyperpigmentation, 3-5 treatments may be necessary to reach your desired effects.
After treatment, you will feel a sensation like a mild sunburn. This will subside over the next few hours. There is ‘cosmetic downtime’ associated with this treatment, and the duration depends on the type of treatment, whether on face or body and your skin’s own tolerance. You will experience redness and mild swelling for 24-48 hours after the treatment, followed by some slight peeling.
