IPL – Rosacea & Thread Veins
Thread veins, also referred to as spider veins, are tiny damaged veins or broken capillaries just below the skin surface. Long-term sun exposure, pregnancy, rosacea, alcohol, smoking and standing for long periods of time can all attribute to broken thread or spider veins. They can appear anywhere on the body but are most common on the face and legs.
The most effective proven treatment for thread veins is IPL Therapy, which breaks down unwanted veins using brief pulses of light. The intense pulse light targets only the unwanted veins, leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. A visible reduction in unwanted veins by as much as 75 per cent can be seen from one to three treatments and the results are permanent.
The success of IPL is heavily dependent on the skill of the practitioner, their knowledge of the physiology of rosacea and their technical expertise in the delivery of IPL

IPL – Rosacea & Thread Veins FAQ’s
What to Expect During Treatment ?
We apply a cold gel on the area to be treated. Dark glasses are also provided to protect your eyes from the bright light. The hand piece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light are applied.
The feeling of the light being applied has frequently been described as a slight sting and sometimes even as having a small rubber band flicked at your skin. Light is delivered to the skin surface in gradient movements.
IPL treats the damaged superficial layer of the skin while delivering thermal energy to deeper tissue.
Why are multiple treatments necessary?
Depending on the number of conditions you are treating, and severity of the individual problem, a series of four to six treatment sessions may be recommended. You can return to work the same day and resume all your regular activities.
